Welcome to the Sports Department
Take part in the Association of College's Luna Challenge
The Association of College's (AoC) has launched the Lunar Challenge to keep staff and students active and to maintain their mental wellbeing.
The AoC is encouraging colleges to virtually travel to the moon using the free Strava app and collectively reach 238,855 miles by running, walking or cycling by the end of February.
There is a national leaderboard for cycling, running/walking, and a cumulative activity mileage total, so colleges can compete against each other and be in the running for prizes.
The Selby College running & cycling clubs on the Strava app have been reopened so that students can take part and collectively gain miles for the College’s overall score.
Should you only be walking the dog or going on a light jog please do get involved as physical activity is great for both our physical and mental health so it would be great to see staff members join up for fun. It was rather successful during the first lockdown period, so hopefully we can repeat this! You can join using the links below.
