Our Results 

In 2020 we achieved a 100% pass rate across all our A Level Maths programmes. For Mathematics 45.9% of students achieved a A*-B and for Further Mathematics 50% of students achieved an A*- B grade.

Our Student Successes

Rachel Kane 

A Level student Rachel Kane achieved an A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and an A in Chemistry. Rachel has secured a place at the University of Bristol to study Physics. 

Samuel Allison

After achieving an A* in Mathematics and Physics, an A in Further Mathematics and a B in French, Samuel now plans to go to to pilot training school to gain his Private Pilot License. 

Caitlin Walters 

After securing an A in Mathematics, Computing and English Language, Caitlin is now studying Computer Science at Durham University.

Jessica Smith 

Jessica achieved an A in Mathematics and Further Mathematics, a D* in Applied IT and a C in Computer. Jessica is now carrying out a Higher National Certificate/Diploma (HNC/D) in Computing at Selby College.

Emily Morbey 

Former School: The Holy Family School

Studied: A Levels in Mathematics (A*), Biology (A*) and English Language (A*)

Destination: Human Sciences degree at the University of Oxford’s Keble College

Emily, who was the joint top-performing A Level student, initially secured a place at the University of Oxford’s prestigious Summer School, which confirmed her dream to study there. Discovering she had secured a place at Oxford on A Level Results Day, Emily said: “I’m ecstatic, I was convinced I wasn’t going to get in. It will be such an amazing place to study a course that really interests me. It has been a great experience at Selby College – I’m so grateful for the support of my lecturers!” 

Kate Settle 

Former School: Selby High School

Studied: A Levels in Mathematics (A), Biology (A) and Psychology (A*)

Destination: Newcastle University to study Psychology

Kate said: “I’m so happy about my results after all the hard work, I can’t believe it!”
