“Since starting on the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma Art and Design course at Selby College, I have now completed my first year of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Art and Design course and have gained so much knowledge and experience already.

By doing the degree-level programme, it has enabled me to expand my skills in many different areas and given me the confidence and motivation to push myself to new levels. I have had access to all the materials and resources I may want to use, which has meant I have been able to try new techniques and processes that have helped me develop as an artist.

With the help of my tutors, I have been able to exhibit my artwork within Selby College and Selby Abbey, as well having the opportunity to work alongside local company The Escapologist where I have created the work on display. By doing this course, I have been able to see a future for me within the arts industry. My tutors have guided and supported me throughout my time at College, helping me to figure out my next steps and seize new opportunities.”

We spoke to Hannah again once she graduated from her Bachelor's degree. Here's what she had to say:

I progressed from Level 3 Art & Design all the way to a Top-Up degree. This was the best decision for me because I felt supported in the environment here. Staying at Selby College meant I had close one-to-one support, it felt like they wanted the very best for me. I was given more opportunities than anyone else could offer.
