Assessment: 90% Coursework, 10% Exam
Entry Requirements: Standard Level 2 Entry Requirements apply – 4 GCSE passes at Grade 3, one of which will be in English. You will also need a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. At least 2 GCSE subjects at Grade 3 are required alongside alternative GCSE equivalent qualifications. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English you will be required to continue studying this alongside your college course.

The Level 2 Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation is for 16-19 year old learners in full-time education who are interested in a career as an electrician.

Your Course

The qualification provides learners with the opportunity to practice and be assessed on the installation of wiring systems together with the relevant theory of electrical installation. Students will have the opportunity to experience:

  • Electrical Installation Theory and Technology
  • Procedures and Requirements
  • Electrical Installation Craft Skills
  • Electrical Science and Principles

Progression

Many of our students progress onto the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and Built Environment at Selby College.
