C Skills Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Bench/Site Joinery

Assessment: 90% Coursework, 10% Exam
Entry Requirements: Standard Level 2 entry requirements apply – 4 GCSE passes at Grade 3, one of which will be in English or Maths. Neither English nor Maths will be below Grade 2. At least 2 GCSE subjects at Grade 3 are required alongside alternative GCSE equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, you will have a Level 1 Diploma in Basic Construction Skills. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or Maths you will be required to continue studying these alongside your college course.

Developed in response to the industry’s request for broader training to improve the skills, knowledge and understanding of the future workforce, this course provides you with a basic introduction to Site Joinery.

Your Course

Units to be studied will include:

  • Health and Safety
  • Manufacturing routine joinery products
  • Mark out from setting out details
  • Produce setting out details for routine joinery produces

Progression

On successful completion you may progress to BTEC Level 3 National Subsidiary Diploma in Construction and Built Environment.
