ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification that enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills up to Level 2.
- It raises your level of competency in IT and computer skills.
- Improves your productivity at home and work.
- It confirms to employers that you have a recognised, relevant and up to date qualification and
- It will provide you with a solid foundation of computer skills helping you to competently and confidently use computers.
This course usually takes between 75 and 100 guided learning hours and should be completed within 9 months of the start date.
The following knowledge will be gained:
Create letters and other documents including posters. Edit and print, formatting, tables, mail merge, insert pictures and images.
Basic use of spreadsheets, editing, formatting, charting and importing.
Basic presentation skills, editing and refining, working with objects and automating a presentation.
Improving Productivity Using IT (mandatory unit)
Knowledge and understanding of a series of theoretical elements such as legal issues associated with computing, health and safety and good practice as well as knowledge and understanding on the Applications.
Each module is assessed by a 45 minute online exam. The Improving Productivity module however is a 60 minute exam.
ECDL is ideal for anyone who wishes to improve their knowledge of Microsoft applications and demonstrate they have a good use of a range of applications for a workplace setting.
