Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning

Background

This qualification aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to support teaching and learning in primary, secondary or special schools. Learners must be working, volunteering or on a practical placement in a school environment to complete this course.

Qualification

Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning - accredited by NCFE.

Duration

20 weeks, on a Tuesday (9.30am-3pm) at Selby College

Start Date

Course Content

The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning covers a wide range of topics including:

  • Children and Young People's Development
  • Supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs
  • Communication and professional relationships

Course Delivery

Learners will be assessed by their tutor or assessor using a range of methods which could include a direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, and written assessments.
