NCFE CACHE Technical Diploma, Level 3

Childcare & Education (EYE)

This two-year Early Years Education (EYE) course, combined with practical experience, will prepare you for a career working with children from birth to five years.

The course covers a range of subjects including:

• Children’s Health and Wellbeing

• Play and Learning

• Understanding Children’s Additional Needs

• Preparing for School Readiness

• Professional Practice Portfolio

You will also be expected to attend work placement for which you must be prepared to travel.

An enhanced DBS will be carried out as a mandatory requirement of the course.

Many of our students progress onto the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies at Selby College or apply for university.

Standard Level 3 vocational entry requirements apply. The minimum requirement is at least five GCSEs at Grade 4 OR at least 3 GCSE subjects at Grade 4 alongside alternative GCSE equivalent requirements. If the subject applied for has been taken previously, then at least a Grade 4 at GCSE or Merit at BTEC or OCR Level 2 is required. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths you will not be able to study this Level 3 course. It would also be preferable if you have achieved a Grade 4 in Science.

80% coursework, 20% controlled assessments
