Selby College’s Higher Education Art and Design students recently exhibited their work in Selby Abbey.

The art explored and celebrated the vast history of the Abbey, influenced by the upcoming 950th anniversary of the building.

950 years is a substantial time for a building to stand, and over those years the Abbey has gained an extensive history. The students used archive material and first-hand knowledge of its history to create art that visually portrays the building’s turbulent life.
