Supporting Futures Selby is an organisation providing support services to Selby College. Based at Selby College we are a new venture with an exciting future ahead of us.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our small and dedicated marketing team.

Job Description - Graphic Designer – part-time – 3 days per week, 52 Weeks (FTE £25k – Actual £15K  )

  • To provide a graphic design function for the College, working within the Marketing team
  • Design work will include (but not be limited to) producing course guides, leaflets, adverts, internal posters, newsletters, and online materials
  • Project manage artwork, production and print schedules working with external agencies and printers as required
  • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
  • Keep abreast of competitor design activity to ensure we are always up to date with key audiences
  • Amend final designs to managements feedback and gain approval as required
  • Work as part of a team, undertaking other marketing activities as required

Skills Required

  • Proven graphic design experience
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, and originality
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
  • Experience in the education sector desirable but not essential
