This is a work-related course where you learn through a combination of practical activities, report writing and projects based on realistic Travel and Tourism scenarios.
This vocationally-based programme is ideal for anyone who is interested in a career in the fast-growing and exciting world of Travel and Tourism.
You will cover a number of areas, including:
- Investigating the Travel & Tourism Sector
- The UK as a Destination
- Customer Service in Travel & Tourism
- Specialist Tourism
- Long Haul Travel Destinations
You will also be expected to undertake a period of work experience. You will potentially also be expected to arrange and host a residential visit in Year 2 and complete a Level 2 Cabin Crew Course. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or Maths you will be required to continue studying these alongside your college course.

On successful completion, you may go on to Higher Education or employment. Past students have secured jobs in Travel Agents, with Tour Operators and other tourism organisations, as well as undertaking more specific vocational training such as Air Cabin Crew.
